Dwarf Car Museum

A frequent photo buddy of mine, J.C. Hebert,  and a former resident of our park was quite impressed with the learning opportunities at the photo club in his new RV Park.  They were open to an outsider joining their group and I have been impressed with the shared knowledge and outings they are planning.

One of our first outings was to the Dwarf Car Museum.  The cars inside the museum are built from scratch by the owner of the museum and are done to an 11/16th scale.  They are fully operational and many licensed for the road.  He has taken a few of them on road trips to car shows in Chicago and New Orleans.

This car is a restored full size police car set in front of a gas station

Outside the museum is quite a collection of old hub caps

Also quite a few old wrecks that make for great photo subjects.

From bare metal, rust, undercoater, and various paint colours.

Picture of JC next to one of the dwarf cars gives you an idea of the scale.

All body panels, axles and even the chrome is
fabricated as original parts would not be to the 11/16th scale

A collection of dry goods from years past.

It's a tight fit and without some modern comforts but roadworthy.

A full size mustang in process of restoration
or perhaps a model for a future dwarf car.

The road leading from the museum to the mountains.

While the museum was a bit of a drive from our Park it was well worth the $5.00 admission fee.
