Cutest Camper Ever

Our stay at Cedar Valley RV Park included a glimpse of the cutest camper we have ever seen.  The paint job gave it a 3D effect.

Entrance and Clubhouse at Cedar Lake.
Nothing fancy but has level concert pads and spacious sites.

The cow on the front looks very real.
They even had a matching table, chairs and umbrella

Notice the painting of the boy looking out the back window.
Even a couple of retro looking bikes.
They even painted the door to look like an old wood door.

Other than saying hi and compliment the owners on their paint job we didn't get a chance to talk to them.

Guthrie Street Shots

Here are my street shots from Guthrie, Ok from a few days ago.  Guthrie has one of the largest historic districts in the US with over 2000 buildings covering 1100 acres.  In addition to the old business district which I have captured a small part of below there are plenty of houses built in the late 19th and early 20th century in the Victorian style.

This is our 3rd time in Guthrie and it truly is a pleasure to walk the streets taking in the town imagining how it was 120 years ago.

Boulevard plantings beautifully contrasting the red adobe building

The Apothecary Garden
Red brick everywhere, old and new.
Oklahoma Sports Museum
Many buildings have operational businesses on the 1st floor.
The upper floors for the most part appear to be vacant.

The brick company names etched in the bricks

Train station.  Now also houses a restaurant.

A little fresh green paint to spruce up the front.

Which of course led to a gun fight.
Drug Store Museum
Rows upon rows of old bottles, weigh scales and various contraptions

If you had it they had a cure for it.

Went to Ricks for a chocolate haystack, a pecan turtle
and a Latte.  Delicious.
Lots of advertising painted on the sides of buildings
Stacey's restaurant where we went for Dinner

Thats it for Guthrie.  We will no doubt be back as its a nice spot to rest up for a few days after 3 long driving days.  Still lots to see and do.
