Sequim, Wa

Another long day on Friday from Medford, Or. to Sequim, Wa.  Not as pretty a drive as the day before until we got through Seattle.  The drive along the coast was slow but very pretty with lots of new to us scenery.  Moss hanging from trees.  Don't see that in Arizona or Manitoba.

Saturday we did a little exploring.  Not a lot of hiking as I was just finishing with my cold and seem to have passed it on to Lori.  We are both just a little worn out.

A lot of the trees down along the shore are dripping in moss.  Very neat.

We went to the Olympia National Park Visitors Centre and then took the 17 mile drive up to Hurricane Ridge.  Scenery was just a little different.  They had 94 inches of snow this winter.  Much of it still seems to be hanging around.

Looking out at Victoria across the channel.  We would be heading there the next morning.

Found a little park next to a lake.  We shared our lunch with this feathered friend.  Most visits he managed to cram a couple of peanuts into his mouth.

Back to the hotel for a much needed nap and then we headed off to the Dockside Grill for supper.  Great seafood.  Thanks to Neil and Lynne for the suggestion.

Early to bed as the alarm was set for 5:30 to make the ferry the next morning.
