Ferry ride to Victoria

Sunday we got up early to catch the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria.  Took about 90 minutes.  After we drove off the ferry we drove through customs and then took the long and painfully slow drive to Nanoose Bay.  After unpacking we headed to a grocery store to stock up the kitchen for our 2 week stay.

Monday we stayed put and did laundry and caught up on some much needed sleep.

Here are some shots of our crossing.

Taken from the dock as we wait to board the ferry.  Over exposed to wash out the sky and water creating a high key effect.  To bad the ship is in the background.

Similar to above but a bit underexposed and edited to create a different look and feel.

Cars, trucks and motorhomes all lined up to drive into the ship

Beyond the water and the fog hanging over the water is Canada

Piles reflected in the water beneath the pier.

A ship floating just outside the harbour.  You can just see the mountains rising up from the mist.

Not a lot of people out on deck.  It was just a tad chilly.

Coming into Victoria harbour.

A shot of Victoria's skyline.

That's it.  A long day trip to Tofino is on the agenda for Tuesday.
