Last fall we went to visit the Canadian Rockies. We stayed in Banff for 8 days and took in the sights around Banff, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and Emerald Lake. Then we headed up to Jasper for a few days taking in the Columbia Ice-fields along the way. Our visit to Jasper was curtailed because of the big forest fire earlier in the year. Much of the forest and parts of the town of Jasper succumbed to the fire. Still plenty of beauty left to see but it will take generations for the forests to recover. Hopefully the town of Jasper will be able to rebuild quickly.
The beauty of the Canadian Rockies is simply unmatched and hopefully my pictures in the next series of posts will do justice to what we saw.
These shots were taken in Banff. Many of them are from the Cascade of Time Garden.
