Lake Havasu City and London Bridge

 A long driving day took us away from the mountains to the Arizona desert and the Colorado river.  A definite change in scenery.

While I have seen it many times now I always find it interesting walking across the London Bridge now situated in Arizona.  

We only spent one night before heading to our winter home in Gold Canyon but we arrived in time for some evening shots and dinner at a restaurant overlooking the bridge.  Nice way to end a long day on the road.

Was a tight fit but we managed

Yosemite - 3 Brothers and El Capitan - Part 4 of 4

Last post from Yosemite.  Reviewing these pictures 8 months after we were there makes me want to go again.  Perhaps one day.

 After a short hike I found the setting for the pictures with the reflections in the pond but soon realized I needed the tripod and a wider lens.  Back to the car I hiked to switch out equipment and came back with Lori in tow.  Got some great shots and memories.  

That's it for Yosemite.  Off to Lake Havasu city and a walk over the London Bridge. 

Yosemite - Half Dome and Tunnel View - Nov, 2022

 Next up some shots taken of some famous viewpoints.  

Half Dome and Tunnel View.

Half Dome, named for obvious reasons.  
Not sure what happened to the other half.

The back side of Half Dome with some beautiful

There was a row of cars parked in front of the trees
but I thought it looked better without them.
Poof no more cars.  

This composition was just begging to be shot.
The golden tree made for great contrast to the
redwoods and half dome in the background.

Tunnel View is so named because just behind me the
road goes through a long tunnel.
It is a great view
We came back the next day and snow flurries came
through and obliterated the view.
