Boyce Thompson Arboretum (BTA)

A few shots from one of our many visits to BTA this past winter.  On one outing we were joined by Walter and Nancy, neighbours from home who have their winter home in Henderson, NV.

The Leaf

 Lori and I took a little drive over to Assiniboine Park to meet with Lori A. and Betty to take in a new attraction.  The Leaf was built and opened to the public a year ago but we had never been.  It's a tropical hot house with a butterfly garden and on an otherwise cool, wet and windy day it was a pleasant walk among the tropical plants and flowers.  Lunch at the new restaurant was great too.

The butterfly garden was up on the 3rd floor and was, unfortunately, underwhelming especially after the Butterfly Wonderland that we toured in Scottsdale this past winter.
