I haven't posted for a very long time. The blog was meant to document our travels however in the past year, since Snowbird 1 in '14/15 we have stayed pretty close to home with only a few local camping trips.
We decided last summer that we would stay home for the winter of '15/16 and finish off a few household renovation projects and put the home up for sale. We currently own a house much too large for our needs and with 5 acres the on going maintenance is becoming just a bit much with aching knees and backs and wanting to be off traveling in the 5er.
We aren't going to full time but are in the process of building a duplex in a condo development in a small town a few miles away from our 5 acres of heaven. The house is sold with possession of Aug 1 and as our new digs won't be available likely till Dec, we are going to move into the 5er. Will spend the rest of the summer and fall camping locally and then head south in mid-Oct to winter in Az and Ca. When we come back in the Spring /17 we should be able to move into the new house.
I hope to get back to some regular blogging once we have vacated the house but for the time being here is a link to my Facebook page detailing some excitement we had this morning plus some pictures of what we are going to be missing. The results are beautiful just not so much the work required to getting the yard looking like this.
Happy trails.
